I saw these talented Russian Musicians for the first time playing in the streets of Menton in August 2003,
being short of cash at the time, I took photos to offer them on a CD Rom and in return they gave me a copy of their first CD, excerpts from which are on the music page.
They were all students at the various Institutes of Music of Tambov, in the Province of Moscow, 400 Kms south of the capital,
which would explain their musical talents.
In 2004 they were back in Menton with a guitarist as fifth member and new costumes,
so I built them a simple web site to include short biographies of each member,
new photos and include information on their traditional folk instruments.
As the lineup changed gradually over the years, I updated the site with the new members and more photos.
They had produced two new Albums, the Red and Blue Albums that year.
The Instruments Page contains info on their Traditional Russian Folk Instruments.
I didn't see them in 2005 but found them again in Cap Ferrat in 2006 with a new Accordeonist
and a new CD containing new versions of some or their repertoire.
I did not see them again untill 2011 when Andrei and Artem, the founders of the group,
were back in Beaulieu sur Mer with a new guitarist and a new accordeonist.
I last saw them when Andrei and Artem kindly visited me in hospital in 2013
shortly before my return to The Scottish Highlands.HOVER OVER THE NAMES FOR SOME DETAILS OF THE MUSICIANSThe Original Four Group Members in 2003
